AMB IRON is a startup business created by ironworker Ruth Bratlie, who is a Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals contractor. AMB IRON is based in New Hampshire and serves Southern NH and the Greater Boston Area. Ruth approached REDC for assistance and worked with our advisors to receive business advising, logo development, and website design assistance.
Ruth has been an ironworker since 2016 and was inspired to start her own company after the birth of her daughter with the aim of putting family first. As an Ironworker with a passion for the trade, Ruth holds high standards regarding quality of work and job site safety and employs others with the same strong work ethic and pursuit of excellence.
Logo
The creation of the AMB IRON logo was a true collaboration between designer and client, with Ruth identifying characteristics she wanted expressed through her logo. Graphic, bold, and unique, this logo displays iconography of spud wrenches, vital tools within the ironwork trade. The textured pattern integrated into the typography was a particularly fun element to develop, akin to the materials used in the ironwork industry.
After the completion of the logo, Ruth worked quickly to develop the branding on marketing materials and on her social media. From business cards to truck decals to stickers, AMB IRON is out in the world, getting seen! Ruth also created a Facebook and Instagram page for her business, showing job site photography, stunning skylines she has captured on job sites, and branded marketing materials.
Website
We also got to work crafting a simple, yet captivating website for AMB Iron. Ruth values intuitive and inspiring websites. After the design of the website created and finessed, we worked with Ruth to teach her how to manage and edit the site on her own. Check out AMB Iron’s website at www.ambiron7.com.
Ruth shares her experience with REDC:
“I can't show enough appreciation to the REDC for offering such a wealth of resources, guidance and support to anyone looking to start a business. Working with them has played a vital role in successfully getting my company up and running. From being connected with an exceptionally knowledgeable business advisor to collaborating with a wonderfully talented graphic designer on the creation of my company logo and website, I'm forever grateful for what they bring to the table in regards to helping people work toward achieving their dreams. It's been an absolute pleasure working with these great people!”
It was a pleasure to work the Ruth and REDC will continue to be available to support her business’s development. We look forward to seeing what heights she takes her business!
