Working Capital helped business expand: REDC helped finance RAS-Tech located in Brentwood, NH. RAS-Tech is a start-up company with a green technology focus. They take discarded roofing shingles and, through a patented process, reclaim the asphalt in the shingles and the aggregate stone surfacing and reuse it for such development as road paving operations and new roofing material. RAS-Tech spent $1 million dollars on developing the patented process. As a result of REDC's financing, RAS-Tech was able to create manufacturing jobs, while solving some challenging environmental issues concerning what to do with used shingles besides sending them to landfills.
